Some people have asked how we are eco-friendly or what it means in context with sex toys….
So here is the answer!!!!
Basically we specialize in items that are better for the environment and your body….
Many of the vibrators on the market today are made directly from the same plastics and rubbers that were for instance taken out of ALL baby bottles recently. They are full of cancer causing and endocrine disrupting agents that have been leaching into us for years (most of which are made from by-products of the oil industry). While we can’t get rid of all of the plastic packaging etc.(as people still love hygienic packaging) We do try and focus on the items that are much safer for you and the environment such as:
1) silicone toys – silicone is an abundant material… long lasting… non porous extremely hygienic material that is used in many medical products
2) We offer glass sex toys … again abundant long lasting and as long as they aren’t coloured they have very few chemicals etc in… or possibly leaching out of them especially if or when they are thrown away or break.
3) We offer phthalate free products… these are toys that while they are still made from oil by-products are held to a higher standard and carry a phthalate free symbol on the packaging.
4) To go further we carry many silicone and phthalate free RECHARGEABLE sex toys… offering you a further chance not to go through a package a week of disposable batteries which are usually toxic for the environment and almost always disposed of inappropriately.
5) Most of our good quality toys like Okiya / Fun Factory/ Lelo /etc are imported from countries such as Germany/Japan/Switzerland that offer a better quality of toy to begin with making them longer lasting than the ones made in Taiwan or China(ultimately leading to less garbage and waste)
6) We support many local vibrator manufacturers. To name a few:Toronto’s Lady Calston(The Tongue II) / Canada’s We-Vibe based in Ottawa and Happy Valley Silicone in Peterborough.
7) Besides the phthalates there are also many plastic toys from Taiwan and China that are layered in sparkly shiny paints that actually come off of the toy inside you…. so we rule those toys out as well
We try to reduce packaging When we can(for instance condoms) we buy them in bulk(not in boxes) which not only lowers the cost but saves on excess packaging.
Basically there are thousands of sex toys coming in from China and Taiwan every year that are being sold in sex shops all over Canada and the US that are not being held to ANY quality or health or safety standards(marked as “novelty products“) and because they are going INSIDE peoples bodies… we feel it is OUR responsibility weed out the bad ones and offer only the best vibrators… hence the name we chose…
